Keri Watson is an assistant professor of art history at the University of Central Florida and specializes in modern and contemporary art and the history of photography. She has published on topics including Patricia Cronin’s public sculpture, Eudora Welty’s photography, and Judy Chicago’s feminist pedagogy, as well as curated exhibitions on sideshow banners and photographs, the photography of the civil rights movement, the history of immigration in Alabama, and the women’s art movement. Currently, she is researching the intersections of text, image, race, and disability in Depression-era photo-books, the applicability of serious games in the teaching of art history, and the construction of dis/ability in sideshow banners and photographs.
